That's the reason for many Democrat voters however some have other agendas also like they have a vested interest in illegal aliens. Ring a bell? Many just lack common sense or vote on emotions.

Default Why on earth would a black vote Democrat?

Why would you vote Democrat if you are black?
First off, if you are a Democrat, like many Black Americans are, you are probably getting your news from CNN or something similar so you are not exactly getting a fair picture of Donald Trump and his accomplishments.

Second, until Donald Trump, what did the Republican Party ever offer most Black Americans? Think of of establishment Republicans like the Bushes or Mitt Romney. Sure if you are a Black businessmen who wanted lower taxes or regulations you might like the Republicans. Or if you really cared about defense spending and a strong foreign policy??? Blah, that is the problem, for the most part the Republicans ignored many domestic issues that might attract new voters.

And it is a shame because the Democrats have so many weaknesses on issues like illegal immigration, crime, education & failing schools, etc., that could have been many openings for the Republicans. And today many Democratic politicians are outright irresponsible and would make us the next Venezuela if it got them another day in office.

But until Trump came along, no Republican ever tried to reach out to new voters.

Let's see...how about FREEDOM.

First Republican, President Lincoln, Gettysburg Address, 1863. Now celebrated nationwide as Juneteenth - the day when news of the Gettysburg Address arrived in Galveston, TX, in 1865.

Race, race, race. Everything isn’t about race. Not because you only see race and vote based on race does that mean that everyone else is so focused on race is well.

My identity is ethnic/cultural and religious before race. I care about the separation of church and state, foreign policy, immigration policy (as a daughter of immigrants etc). I lean libertarian but the Dems are currently lesser of the two evils based on my issues of focus.

Low unemployment is due to the hard work and innovation of so-called black people. I didn’t go to an HBCU. Never lived in a “black” neighborhood on the mainland. And who are these black leaders?

I realize it’s cultural for many Americans who have been here for generations to see everything racially but goodness...LOL.
