If you ever need proof that we are de-civilizing and de-evolving, look at photos of people from the 19th and early 20th centuries, and compare them to the people at your local Wal-Mart. We have become savages. There is no dignity left in this society. Instead, we're a nation of tattooed, obese savages, clowns, and overgrown babies.

We have become so totally infantilized and debased as a culture that it will likely take several generations to completely reverse this.

It's not really fair to generalize from a self-selected group.

Go to Trader Joes and you'll see completely different crowd.

You're right, Walmart tends to attract the undignified.

When I compare people 30 and under to my parents or grandparents at that age it’s shocking the difference. Their lives were work and faith and all the good things in life evolved from that. The immorality of people today, the normalizing and even sensationalizing of abhorrent behavior would be shocking to them.

Grown men in shorts, sneakers and giant tee-shirts. It's somewhat apparent that we just don't take as much pride in our appearance these last few decades. There was a time you'd see all men in three piece suits and straw boater hats or fedoras even at baseball games and on the boardwalks at the beach.

I like the comfort of dressing down, but it does make me think...what happened?

Here, NYC in 1911.

What they have done to food is a lot to blame too. Poor people can’t really afford organic foods and they don’t have the land or know how to grow their own.

I've seen tattooed, obese, pierced, man bun, dreds, etc at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Some of them working there in addition to shoppers. The only things missing was a bone through there noses and a necklace of shrunken heads.
