He / she may have shut down the economy just like many GOP governors did. That's due to the lack of any clear and consistent message from the top. Even now he doesn't have a consistent message on something as simple as face masks. Trump said this was a war and then let every state come up with its own defense.
You people are pathetic - the country would be in this shape no matter who was in the WH. It may have been worse as Dems didn't want air travel from China shut down.
He did not shut down air travel as plenty of people were exempt and there was no quarantine for them.
If just about anyone else was in the White House I'm pretty sure we would not have pulled inspectors from China that could have had information on this faster rather than trust China to tell us what was going on, would have kept the pandemic response unit and would have followed the playbook laid out for this scenario.

My state's so-called governor is still on the hook, as far as I'm concerned, and I'm itching to move someplace civilized, like South Dakota, where their Republican governor ordered NO lockdowns.
