To no one's surprise, it's open season on cops now. Thankfully, the gun didn't fire when the guy pulled the trigger at close range due to some safety mechanism.
A surveillance video captured the moment a Los Angeles officer was knocked to the ground and repeatedly pistol-whipped with his own gun inside a police station—and had the weapon pointed at him at close range.
The footage shows the confrontation between the suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Jose Cerpa Guzman, and a veteran officer inside the Harbor Division station in San Pedro at around 10 p.m. on Saturday night.
A man with a gun should never be beaten by guy without. This is some serious incompetence on part of officer to the point of malpractice. Or is the officer handicapped by all that has happened, and not allowed to utilize all his training, and personnel arsenal for fear of rioting and looting?
When you have gun, no one should even be able to get near enough to you let alone be able to wrestle gun from you and take you down. Suspect will have bullet holes in him severely hampering his ability to wrestle gun away.
The perp here is like a hitman from the Sicario movie. He too good. First to have courage enough to go after an armed cop, and be able steal gun. He is like the hispanic SMERSH agent.
