Schools are opening in whatever safe capacity they feel is adequate.
It's neither here nor there. Why is this such a political argument? Let them do what they can.
Everybody either waiting for an "I told you so" or a " muh Freedoms!"
There is no one size fits all, which is why these kinds of decisions should be local,.not dictated from the almighty on high.
Agree. In the spring our Democratic Governor, UnConstitutional Kelly closed all the schools in the state. Some counties had no cases and continued to have no cases. In a deal with the Legislature in June, she lost her power to close schools without the permission of the legislature. The decision was given to the Board of Education at the state level who passed the decision to individual school districts. Governor's mandates amount to nothing but empty air space. Schools here are doing very, very well, since they can individualize for their population, plus it speaks to just how "contagious" this "virus" is, which is what I think the Governor feared would happen.
Miami Dade schools are not holding in person classes yet, soon they will though. Miami Dade school, district is the larges tin Florida and fifth larges tin the US.

A large 'making'......so some of the schools maybe even most are open in some ways to in classroom and online learning.
And your point?
About 54% of school children are in classroom.
That would help with social distancing.
