If you are referring to the SCOTUS appointment, they are only asking for the exact same standard as was applied last term at the insistence of the Republicans. This inconsistency argues against itself.

Either we are in the midst of an election and we should let the people decide, or not, you can't have it both ways.

Again,

That was not a "standard".

It was not a "precedent".

It was political strategy based on the fact that Republicans controlled the Senate.


The Constitution dictates that the President nominates and the Senate confirms.

It does not say that the Senate is obligated to approve, or even allow a vote on anyone that the President nominates.

Dems played a dangerous, vindictive little game when they used the nuclear option back in 2013. (THAT WAS SETTING PRECEDENT)

And Mitch McConnell tried to warn them that he plays it better.

But y'all didn't listen.
