I was thinking the same thing--wouldn't the woke consider this cultural appropriation? In the yoga world, there is a heated controversy over whether white women are allowed to say "Namaste." It's considered appropriation. This seems like a similar circumstance.

Depends on who said it.

I would say that I'm surprised. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it wasn't clear pandering.

Is it too much to ask to get a true atheist president? So tired of these idiots pandering to religions.

We would be better if politics and religion was separate. I want a president who has no obligations to a damn book and cult following imo. Just to by the book. If we are in debt we get out; if someone attacks us; we nuke them: etc

Meh, I don't know. There are a lot of words in other languages that just don't have a real equivalent in English. Is it cultural appropriation to use them in the way they were intended? I'm not Jewish, but I have more than a few Yiddish words and phrases in my vocabulary. Actually, I bet a bunch of you do, too, maybe without realizing it.

True. It reminds me of the Crusades.

Why is Biden trying to colonize Islam?

What’s the big deal? People say “God’s willing or Lord’s willing” all the time.
