Child trafficking is the Left's 'sacred cow' which they can't touch.
If Trump did any of that why didn't he discuss it? He had all the time in the world because he talked over everyone, including the moderator. Instead he made up a bunch of nonsense about his record and then resorted to personal insults about Biden and his family when he lost track of his talking points on socialism which weren't sticking.

And where did you hear he made progress in the Middle East, from Trump? What progress exactly? Our standing is much weaker there now since Trump withdrew from Syria and pulled from the Iran deal. Syria, Iran and Russia exert far more influence in the region than at anytime in history.

Child trafficking? What has Trump done about Child Trafficking that wasn't already being done by law enforcement in the US and all over the world? You see, he hasn't done anything particularly noteworthy in this area, despite what you may hear from Q on reddit.

If Trump was smart he would have just repeated his claims of improving an already booming economy he inherited. But he got so in the weeds on other topics he sounded like a complete buffoon and made Biden look more presidential.

Biden made the same mistake at first that every Democratic old-guarder ever did in trying to take on Trump: He tried to be civil. And so he was made to look like a doddering nice guy. Biden tried to craft conversations based on numbers and history and policy; Trump interrupted. Again. And again. The picture of Trump’s mouth curled in smugness and Biden staring out, silent for seconds, will launch a million memes. When will Biden and anyone who debates Trump ever just sing “Bringing in the Sheaves” as Trump goes on and on with one-liners?

This is true, but it is also true that the questions used to be meant to get informative answers. Now they are meant more as accusations, gotchas or tools for framing an issue to fit a certain narrative.

You are 100% correct. What the campaigns and the tv call debates are not debates. They are one giant pissing contest and have been since the politicians took them over from the LWV.
I understand there was a real debate in the past. Think it was 1856.

Trump was in the debate a little disheveled looking like someone who's been in war, and actually takes up the mantel themselves. Biden was in it looking like a politician who just takes orders from someone else and "is paid" to make it look good. It's a helluva a lot easier to debate when you can constantly lie all over the place.

Trump absolutely obliterated Biden on transition, ukraine / china / hunter, law enforcement, scotus picks / flooding the court.

You say that like it was a value judgment when it was just a statement of fact. Trump does not tell the truth. And when dealing with someone who does not tell the truth, it's not cordial to the American public to let it slide.

In future debates, the moderator should be a kindergarten teacher who has been managing a classroom full of 6 year olds on Zoom.

A little bit more than that such as when debates were not forms of entertainment or the subject of drinking games.

As it was, I didn't even bother for I don't have TV, nothing said will alter my choice, it was past my bed time, I do not believe "news" should be a form of entertainment, I don't trust them, I don't need the stress, I can't do anything about what is said, etc........

There may be a function, perhaps there should be a function, to see how the candidates for the national convention do...........

................but by this time in the game, those answers are already known, so why bother?
