Dems - Want socialism...then complain about the control of socialism[/QUOTE]

Sure, because it's always someone else that needs to be controlled.

Let the cowards and fools cower in fear over a virus just slightly stronger than flu. Normal intelligent people will get on with life!

We've been in this for what, six months and people are calling it the "new normal." New normal my butt. It's a temporary thing. Might take a few years, but then we'll be past it and CNN will have a new "new normal" to bloviate about.

Think about who's telling you this is a "new normal." For eight years under Obama we were told the economy was the "new normal" and get used to it. Well, we changed presidents and the "new normal" wasn't anymore. We got back to work and started rebuilding the economy. Which political party benefits from a down economy? Who is pushing the idea of a "new normal" again?

Had to look it up. That's just sick!

I only know about it because there's a family on our street that only associates with the family behind them. And this only happened within the last two months or so. Their kids played on streets with everyone else throughout the worst of the pandemic.

Well, here in Florida everything is almost completely back to normal. Our governor lifted almost all restrictions, so now it is up to individuals and businesses what type of restrictions they want to still impose or practice. Many cities had "mask mandates" but they can't be enforced anymore. Again, a private business could still require it but I am sure many won't. My YMCA and the recreation centers are now allowed to have full capacity classes. All we need now is for our fun festivals and events to return.

Woo-hoo I am so happy I live in Florida!!!

I’ve never wanted to live in Florida before but it’s looking really good to me right about now.

I think many are still hesitant to go out and do things like they did pre-Covid. No one is stopping them from flying or going to Disney World or out to eat, but many are just not comfortable doing that. I don't blame them.

I guess it depends on where you live but I would say that we are still being restricted from doing a lot of things. I think a lot of people are ready to get back to normal but can’t. I feel like the restrictions should be lifted and at this point, those who are not ready can be cautious and everyone else can go back to normal. Businesses can make their own rules. If they want to continue with the orders, they can, if not, they don’t have to and customers can decide with their dollars.

Life never veered from normal much for me. I just avoid idiots and do my own thing, same as always. Sure, I no longer do business in some stores at which I disagree with their paranoid policies, but that doesn't bother me much. There are plenty of businesses around here who have given government mandates and paranoia the middle finger.
