On the drive to the grocery store this afternoon, I
found myself at the stoplight next to a police officer
on a motorcycle. I rolled down my window and waved
to get his attention. I said, "I'm feeling very sad today
due to all that has been happening. But I just wanted
to thank you for your service". He replied, "I feel very
sad too. Thank you for your support". I said, "God
bless you, officer" and the light turned green.
I got to the supermarket. A black man who looked to
be in his 60's told me to go ahead of him in line. A
young black mother was checking out ahead with the black
female cashier. In her cart was the most adorable
little toddler girl, dressed all in pink and sweetness. About
15 mos. old, it was obvious for all to see that she was
loved dearly. I oohed and awed over her cuteness.
She kept motioning for the lollipop display over my
shoulder. Her momma was not going to buy one, but
the 60 something white female cashier behind me
looking on at us did. Cashier presented mom the
lollipop and she gave it to her child. We were all
wearing masks. I'm white as a sheet and very liberal
minded. On the way in, I exchanged hello with two
Latina ladies doting all over their beautifully dressed
baby girl one of them was carrying into the store.
That one simple trip to the store reminded me of how
grateful I am to live in such a diverse community. I
left this forum earlier, licking my wounds of all the
insults and degradations we hurl at each other anonymously
in this national forum. I just want to remind everyone to
please get out and offer a smile to someone who looks
different than you. Don't let the anger on this forum get
to you like it got to me. It robbed me of time and energy
engaging with those who would smile to see me cold on
a slab.
Life exists outside, no matter who you think won last nights
so called debate.
Hilarious-
Now you viewed (for one day) how conservatives view life every day. That is why we are well adjusted and happy and libs are so miserable.
Try being a conservative for a week- you will treat everyone the same and have a positive attitude. If you abandoned liberal anger and pessimism, you would have a better life.
PS- "diversity" has clearly been shown to be harmful and corrosive to a culture, not beneficial. "Diversity", which is favorable in genetics, has been highjacked and inappropriately applied to culture to promote harmful liberal agendas.
Ask Minneapolis how they like their "diversity" from Somalia? It has RUINED the Twin Cities, as it has done to others.
No, I feel hopeful. I am glad though that you, or whoever is the original poster of this, have had your day brightened by observing and interacting with those for whom life goes on daily in seemingly mundane habits that we are so fortunate to be free to partake of. Good for you!

Why is a "diverse" community better than one in which people are more similar?
