You seem to not realize that it is common to name a disease after where it came from/location of the first known case or after the population of an area of the first known case.
The following are diseases that were named after population or place...

The best evidence is the Spanish Flu was really the Chinese flu. That Kansas theory of origin has about the same basis as a Spanish origin, just being early or first discovering and reporting a flu doesn't make you the origin of it. The historic record most supports there was a flu illness in China and Chinese laborers many documented as being ill were transported across Canada to fill labor shortages at the Western front and the virus spread there and was brought back to the US.

Call the current virus COVID-19 or anything you want but everyone knows it came from china and china intentionally allowed it to spread to the US.

If Asian Americans are being targeted as a result of this virus, that's stupid and unfortunate. They had nothing to do with it.

That is not a fact. Only in the US was it first confirmed in Kansas, but a similar illness is now known to previously be known by medical records to been in China, among the Chinese labors transported etc. Read the link I posted.
