There is no way this survives a challenge. This is flat out discriminatory practice.
At that, shows the governor is a bigot after all, lol.
Newsom seems to be a younger version of China Joe !!!
One difference may be he isn't stupid enough to give a lengthily speech waring a mask expecting anyone to listen when he doesn't have to !!!
No one wants to listen to marbles through a strainer from a virtue signaler !!!
The legislation was part of a package of racial justice measures signed by Newsom before a midnight deadline. Others bar the use of peremptory challenges to remove potential jurors based on racial, religious or gender identity; allow judges to alter sentences that are believed to involve racial or ethnic discrimination; and set up a state task force to study the idea of reparations to African Americans for slavery.
In the last few months, we've all been bombarded with emails from every company that has any of our email addresses, bleating on and on about how terrible it is that systemic racism is still holding down people of color and how they, the companies, will make it all better by out-woking everyone else. They've all been talking about increasing minority representation, so they've got no cause to complain if California's governor prods them along.
Any company that sent out one of those obnoxious "see how woke we are" emails, and then leaves California as a result of this law, will be exposed as a blatant hypocrite. They asked for this, and I hope it tastes good as Newsom shoves it down their throats.

How humiliating for "diverse" board members. Now, they will always carry suspicion of being tokens instead of meritocratic choices. Way to chop the capstone off of their potential, California.
For $400,000 a year, I'll dress in drag and play the role.
