So the “it’s just until we flatten the curve/find a vaccine” was BS?
The old normal:
Schools were open.
Faces were uncovered.
Interstate travel and religious ceremonies were unrestricted.
Colleges weren't prisons.
ADULTS WERE TREATED - AND TREATED EACH OTHER - AS HUMAN BEINGS WITH AUTONOMY, NOT DISEASE VECTORS.
New normal:
Schools are open.
Faces are uncovered.
Interstate travel and religious ceremonies are occurring. Saw a graveside service today. My family member is traveling across country as we speak.
Colleges aren't prisons.
Most restrictions are in place by the company, school or entity in charge of a business, school, etc. There may be some governmental restrictions, but even with many things reopening like Disney World, and the ability to travel by plane, a lot of folks are just choosing not to do it.
Not sure what your point is. If people aren't comfortable, they're not comfortable. In case you haven't seen the news, cases, deaths and hospitalizations are rising in some areas. We don't have a vaccine yet. Maybe when we get one, people will feel more comfortable.

We will have better ventilation systems and more attention will be paid to overall sanitation. More things will be home delivery and more meetings will be virtual. Things will otherwise get back to how they were in about a year when the vaccine shuts down transmission. How is that so bad?
