That was about Trump, Biden isn't the one inciting any of those things and isn't the one in power- yet. All of these things happened on Trumps watch, not Bidens.

Well, something is off, we're not getting the straight story. Of course, D. T. rejects whatever may have him appear weak, so he would have them not say so. I've always wondered what he does to get others to lie for him?

Yep. I know a lot of people who reluctantly voted for Hillary in 2016, but we all agree on one thing - she would have been ALL OVER this virus.A coordinated response in this country would have saved thousands of lives. Defense Production Act invoked immediately to produce PPE, test kits, and ventilators. Masks available for everyone early on and national guidelines that were actually adhered to. Would've been nice.

I don't like the warmonger Presidents personally.

Indeed.

She even outlined the preparedness plan during the campaign. I saw the video clip of it the other day.

You know what she wouldn't have done? Put her kid's husband in charge of things.

OK, since Hillary Clinton has been dragged into the discussion, I offer you these excerpts from campaign speeches given by candidate Clinton in 2016:

"Public health is not commonly understood as a security issue, but it should be. Pandemic disease can destabilize regions, undermine economies, and create fertile territory for social and political unrest...We need to break the cycle in which our own public health system is beholden to emergency appropriations for specific epidemics... lacking the long-term budget certainty we need to shore up our defense for long term, accelerate development of vaccines..... bolster America's public health infrastructure to deal with the new challenges facing our communities and our families, including a new Public Health Rapid Response Fund to better respond to public health emergencies.....Hillary Clinton July 2016.

"That is why as President, I will create a Public Health Rapid Response Fund, with consistent, year-to-year budgets, to better enable the CDC, HHS, FEMA, state and local public health departments, hospital systems, and other federal agencies to quickly and aggressively respond to major public health crises and pandemics. I will also ensure that our government has strong leadership and is organized to better support and work with people on the ground facing public health challenges. Doctors and public health officials......Hilary Clinton August 24, 2016.

"....in addition we need to do more to boost our preparedness for biological threats and bioweapons; to support research for new diagnostic tests, therapeutic treatments, and vaccines for emerging diseases; to build capacity in public health departments; to train the next cadre of public health professionals and ensure that public health and environmental health practices are standard to the educations of medical students; and to provide resources for states and local governments to plan for complex, multi-faceted public health threats, like the impacts of climate change and pandemics and build more resilient communities."....Hillary Clinton October 2016

Donald Trump on the campaign trail: "Lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up."

Thank God, Donald Trump defeated her?????????

Next time, America, maybe we should just vote for the person who knows what they are doing. Our life may one day depend on it. Oops strike that. Our life does depend on it.
Superb post - has little place here on C-D POC, because it is based on critical thinking, factual evidence, science and history.

The hardcore Trump followers will reject all of those - because they do not have any other choice. The only way to rationalize a faith in Donald Trump at this point is to deny and suppress your own common sense.

The remaining question is why would anyone choose to toss their critical thinking skills overboard and indulge themselves in fanatical worship of someone like Trump? I came here in 2016 to get an answer to this question, and after reading countless rationalizations - some that sound plausible and some that are totally off the rails, at the end of the day you must conclude that human beings are easily manipulated.

All it took was some clever feel-good populist propaganda, and a vulnerable segment of the population that had already begun to reject rationality and common sense. That wave started way back in the days of talk radio and the Dittoheads, but the Internet really put the icing on the cake. Now anyone with any crazy idea or paranoid delusion can easily find others that agree with them, and so the contagion spreads.
