I would have said, "concealed weapons permit," but in this whacked out society of ours nowadays, anyone that shoots to defend themselves will probably be persecuted instead.

My first thought was homeless. This suspect looks old; he's not some dumb teenager doing something dangerous that he thinks is funny. His hoody looks a little dirty, and he is carrying a big backpack. I've read some articles that NYC has been housing some homeless at hotels on the Upper West Side during the pandemic, and as always follows the homeless, there have been crime spikes in those neighborhoods. In LA, almost all unprovoked, random assaults are crazy homeless people. They happen frequently, and rarely make the news.
Rick Moranis is a national treasure (Canadian or not). I hope that they catch that guy and he does ten years. That kind of punch can kill someone, but especially someone of Moranis's age.
