People are turning very ugly in rejoicing over people's sickness, implying they deserved it. I'm just holding up a mirror, hoping that people will stop. It's not helping the country to behave like this. Every one of us makes reckless, stupid, and dangerous decisions in our lives. It's by the grace of God we don't get what we deserve.

I see astonishment at the enormity of this irony ... and ironic it is.
absolutely no excuse for statements like you just made. I am appalled at how some are reacting to this horrible situation. Can't we just pray for recovery for all and stop playing the blame game?
I always thought the Democrats were the loving and kind people, but that is not what we are seeing right now. We are seeing gloating, hatred, blaming everyone and I bet down deep many are happy to see this develop:

From all indications, it happened during the Barrett formal announcement, where the President had little to no contact with anyone but Barrett. Is she a carrier?
All people infected, had contact with Barrett. Not just close proximity.
Still, she was all about her family and that why she stepped away from her job. She should have taken more precautions - or not attended - if she was so dedicated to her family’s welfare. Forget family dinners for a while.
There's so much ugly disease-shaming that has been awakened by the Covid pandemic! Since over half of America is fat, chances are many of the shamers are engaging in deliberate and reckless behavior that they KNOW will lead to a bad health outcome, possibly death, drain the medical system, and cause suffering for others, including leaving children without parents. Losing weight is the single-most important thing a person can do to survive Covid--and diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc. We've had six months for people to do their part and lose weight, but we've only gotten fatter. But breaking the Covid rules has suddenly become the only thing anyone dies from. The only thing we have to be vigilant about. And the only thing we shame people for.
The bolded part of your post is not true. Nobody thinks Covid is funny. Trump mocked Biden for wearing a mask while speaking alone in a field. That isn't science. It's superstition. The mask isn't a magic talisman. It's useful in indoor environments, and outdoors when unable to maintain social distance.

Current news is about very recent positives related to the current breakout which appears to be a WH super spreader event that has impacted the President and many around him. 2 US Senators, POTUS, FLOTUS, head of RNC, POTUS top aid, POTUS campaign manager and maybe more people.
This could delay the SCOTUS hearings due to Senators being sick and/or quarantined. The president is in the hospital with a deadly disease and he's in a high risk category. Every few hours we hear of new positives related to the super spreader event. Could be Dems get positive results soon as Dems were at the Senate hearings and at the debate.
This is a top news story for a valid reason. Some US Rep that had Covid in March is not relevant to the news story at hand, no matter how bad you want to change the news story.

I think you nailed the head on that one. There's a lot of hypocrisy at work. I can only hope this creates a philosophical change in how the right deals with COVID-19. It's not a joke or a hoax; it's real and the disease can mess up your body and your mind, even if it doesn't kill you.
I'm sorry but these people knew better. They knew they were putting others at risk by not wearing masks.

Why has Nancy Pelosi NOT ordered ANY Covid testing within the Halls of Congress? Is she wanting more infections to occur, in hopes that blaming Trump for all things Covid will help Biden win? We have been in this pandemic for most of the year with Trump not taking it seriously and mocking people who wear masks. Why can't republicans wear masks. It's just not a big deal. This is why this virus will just keeps spreading.

Doesn't matter what "Trump supporters" did, or what anyone did. The only response to someone getting sick is "I hope they get better." It's simply the bottom line of decency.
My point about being fat was just an example. Chances are many of us are going to get sick or die due to a bad choice we made. We shouldn't be so quick to judge others.
