To me, though, that is just one of those things in the new ways we have to do things.
I get that the post was supposed to be humorous, but I don't get why you "have" to wear your hair up. I have really long hair - I don't feel any need to tie it all up, I can still take care of myself without government intervention tossing out hair ties and hair care products - you being locked down doesn't make it more difficult for you to care for your hair.

Maybe invest in some hair cutting scissors and learn how to cut your own hair. I've done that for years - mainly because I don't believe in paying someone else almost $30 (with the tip) to cut my hair when I can do it exactly how I want it with a one time price of $20 for hair cutting scissors (sheers, whatever you want to call them).

How about that be the lesson? We learn to do more for ourselves instead of waiting for some entity to come along and save us from ourselves.

That for the cries of discontent, they sent out a care package for ways of handling it?

Of course, I know, that those crying probably would not listen anyhow but think about it for a moment, what if.......for the next time around?
What if ... for the next time around ... we learn from this one?

If a system (whether mechanical, a body, or an organization) is stressed to its limits, its strengths, but also its weaknesses quickly become apparent. Every engineer & health care practitioner knows this.

So too the pandemic has made our strengths & weaknesses as a Country apparent. Why not learn from this one? Hair ties is not a bad suggestion although I think much more than is required. Information, up to date, current, & ongoing information is required. Reality-based & supported by evidence information. Leadership who seeks to unite people in individual, group, & Country wide efforts. In short, use our strengths as a Country, & seek to improve our weaknesses.

Next time around is now, we are into the fall and still running 40,000 cases a day with flu season coming up.

We never really solved the first wave but here we go.

OK, how far government should go.
Opinion from abroad, backed by stats and dozens of years of research. Russia is estimated to lose close to 600 000 deaths due to lockdown related conditions. Untreated diseases, stress related diseases, suicides, neuroses, psychoses, lost jobs, and so on - all resulting in spike of general mortality. Add to this severe drop in child births, related to similar lockdown factors. Another about 600 000 future citizens, not born. Estimate is, lockdown will cause over a million population loss, as the result, in Russia itself.
If, for a moment, you think that, Americans are somehow immune to all those factors being, eg, leading obesity country, think not even twice, think hundred times.
At least, Germans had guts to protest.

As a cherry on the top, ask yourself a question. How did it come to be that, technically speaking, China is void of COVID, as I type? And, in the US, even president got it? Like a best protected man on the planet.. so much for your preventative measures worth...

Interesting. I’m actually healthier after all the forced limitations. I’ve been high-normal in a number of categories for years (LDL, cholesterol, triglycerides), and everything came out smack in the middle of normal this time. The doctor said it’s all tied to my cooking and eating at home exclusively. (No Denny’s, no breakfast buffets, no Mexican dinner and move night with popcorn, etc.)

I do think they will "try" this again and again until "they" get what they want, in other words, plandemic us into submission, but we are strong enough working together to keep at least delaying it. https://ise.media/video/plandemic-ii...nation-23.html The mask mandates and what they will "try" to mandate with the vaccine are about submission. I ain't submitting to squat!

Youtube has a wealth of videos on how to cut your own or the hair or that of someone else. Buy some clippers and/or scissors and learn to do your own hair. Actually, lesson learned here is not to be so dependent on others for services or goods, especially imported goods!

I know many on here think the US has stopped, but outside of the cities that are under draconian rules, the rest of us are going on with our lives. Sure, local and state governments are trying to "milk" the federal aid and I believe some are trying to keep the virus alive for that purpose, I live in such an area. Masks increase the chances of transmission, thus mandated when the virus started to wane. Numbers go down, and testing which is probably 30% accurate is available if you don't have symptoms, and then it is suddenly free as the numbers drop even more.

Yesterday, I finished taking back "normal", and "normal" feels right! Life is too short. "Live free or die."

HA!! That is just what is coming if Biden is elected. The far Left is pulling his strings and they want socialism. Biden will once again embrace China and they have such things as required exercise routines.

The reason why China was able to beat back the Covid is that they locked down entire towns. They tossed bags of rice into homes and then locked the people inside. They had no choice but to stay under house arrest.

The lessons learned during covid is that the Government has the power to shut us all down under the guise of "public safety". What will happen the next time there is a school shooting. They will deem all guns a safety hazard and take them. What happens when the green new deal crowd gets their way and gas guzzing trucks are deemed a safety hazard to the planet? What happens when the BLM supporters reach a fevered tantrum and demand that all white people must face consequences because they were born white?

Crazy stuff but it could happen.

Oooooh, child hood trauma memories of trying to cut my own hair!

As far as tying it up, it is necessary so it doesn't blow in my face........and so I don't look like Doc Brown!

Besides...........I rather like it.
