Have you ever had the flu? Were you put on a ventilator? Breathing issues are one of, if not the main issue with Covid.

For the 1 millionth and first time. The mask protects OTHER people around you more than it protects yourself.

At that debate, Trump's family arrogantly paraded into the debate audience without masks. This isn't dogma, it's just what happened.

No, that's an interpretation of what you think happened. Is your argument that people who wear masks don't get infected and infect others? Please provide the evidence. For all you know, Melania could have been exposed and then spread it to Trump. Or, someone else that is close to Trump got infected and gave it to him. You don't know if he got it because he didnt have a mask on at a given time, or because people didn't distance. If Melania got it and they sleep together, there you go. You cannot logically or scientifically connect mask wearing to the infection.

Another article about masks helping w/ the spread of covid.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-...k/art-20485449

Most important part:

A cloth mask is intended to trap droplets that are released when the wearer talks, coughs or sneezes. Asking everyone to wear cloth masks can help reduce the spread of the virus by people who have COVID-19 but don't realize it.

Cloth face coverings are most likely to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus when they are widely used by people in public settings. And countries that required face masks, testing, isolation and social distancing early in the pandemic have successfully slowed the spread of the virus.

Duke study

https://www.northcarolinahealthnews....e-study-shows/

From study:
The result was a study published online Aug. 7 in the journal Science Advances that concludes the simple, low-cost technology provided visual proof that most face masks are effective at reducing droplets when worn correctly. The scientists acknowledge that there are limitations to the study and that further research is needed.

“It’s important to remember a limitation of the study was a sample size and more research is needed to really drill down and get confident about which masks are better than others,” Henrion said
