If you are convicted of participating in riots, you will no longer be able to get state benefits or employment.

How stupid are people? It’s just chest pounding to look tough. Any decent lawyer could easily find a law already written and apply it accordingly. Any of these excuses are for the government to support as they desire. Over reaching is more like it.
I say stupid people are those that riot.
Of course the Government wants to look tough because if they don't we get what is happening in the Democrat run cities which is total anarchy. It isn't because the Democrats are not tough it is because they are scared of what might happen if they crack down on their lawless base.
Of course a decent lawyer could find a path through the charges but it hard to argue when someone is caught on camera destroying public and private property under the guise of a "peaceful protest".
The over reach would be beating these anarchist antifa thugs that don't give a crap about anyone but themselves. I say throw them in jail and let them stew for a while.
Convicted felons lose their voting rights in Florida also.
