The Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction, founded the Ku Klux Klan, imposed segregation, perpetrated lynchings, and fought against
the civil rights acts of the 1950s and 1960s.
Do blacks want to support a party who founded the KKK?
I think the major liberal states should offer slavery reparations to blacks. Liberals support reparations, so it is only fair that they pay for them.
As a result, blacks would flock to those states offering reparations. Liberals would then get more of the "diversity" they crave and conservative states would get a lower crime rate.
Let's get behind the CA proposal for "reparations". This is an outstanding idea and I'm sure that many other liberal states would do the same. I think this would make everyone happy and put the "reparations" issue to rest (at least for the rest of the states). Liberal states, of course, would find themselves paying "reparations" perpetually, which would make them happy.
