Common sense should tell the Leftists that people actually want Law & Order.
They want safe streets and neighborhoods. Law Enforcement now understands they have no support from the Leftists...... only animosity.
I don't really like unions and I particularly don't like public employee unions, however Police are one of the most important local public services. The left is losing it.

LOL. Not really. Give a police group the option of being a police state and having even more power? Lots of those folks are all for it. Thats not a new thing.

Sorry.
One could make the argument that we have police because we are not civilized.

Police Officers should have the same requirements as nursing and teaching. 4 year degree, numerous certifications, and required off duty training. And with all that a nice pay raise because it isn't an easy job.

I wonder how those police unions will feel about the GOP, when they need their pension fund bailed out?

Looking at the under funded state pension graph - more blue states have high underfunded pensions than red states.

The Democrats are not anti-police, they are pro-accountability. Unions have always protected the very worst members against being fired or demoted for any reason. And so what the unions are afraid of is that if the Democrats come to power they will prosecute cops when they use excessive force, will require body cameras, will ban chokeholds, etc. and make life hard for the bad apple cops. Trump's idea of "law and order" is to go crack heads and that appeals to some cops.

The GOP will take the money from the teachers union's pension fund, to keep the police pension fund afloat.

The teachers unions couln't give a flip about the students, while the police union members care about law and order.

This is not true. Then again, you are in Florida. A place that purposely destroyed their public school system in the guise of 'school choice', but really it meant corporate profits and increased inequality.

The police state was under Obama.. Obama used the FBI and make it political attacking Trump with a false dossier and getting FISA warrants under false made up garbage that Hillary paid for from a Russian spy.

When you make police political then it is a police state and Obama did just that with the CIA, DOJ and started with the IRS , tampering with an election . Obama used the IRS to go after the conservative groups supporting the Republican running for president and hindered them . This is Obama.. the Communist .
