Exactly. It’s easy to tell who on this board really knows what socialism is and who just parrots what they hear on Fox, YouTube, and talk radio. Nothing about the American Democratic Party is socialist. They are a center-right Neo-liberal political party who are somewhat more liberal on social issues and somewhat more generous towards the poor and working class than the Republicans.
The Republicans intentionally swung as far to the right as they could during the Obama years, thereby shifting the entire political spectrum to the right. Biden’s platform is no more “leftist” than Clinton’s or even Bush Jr.’s Compassionate Conservatism, but because the whole political spectrum has been pushed so far to the right in the US, anything left of Grover Norquist is considered “socialism.”
If Sanders won, the model would be Scandinavian "Democratic Socialism" not Venezuela or Cuba
You mean social democracy. They have free markets in Scandinavia, just a larger social safety net. I believe they don't even have minimum wages in Sweden and Denmark.
Democratic Socialism goal is socialism through democracy. Social Democracy believes in free markets. Very different.
in case you haven't noticed, we have food lines forming NOW, here in the US. shelves were empty in March here in the US as well.
and the situation in venezuela is caused by a decline in their currency, which is likely going to happen in the US regardless of which party is in power.

Biden is RIGHT WING corporate apologist, and is in fact equivalent of a moderate Republican. Not his fault the Republicans all gave up on democracy and want to annoint a super far right king. Yea Biden is further left than rabid neo-fascist Royalists, but that hardly makes him a socialist or communist. Ludicrous.
Again and again, real socialists and communists believe in govt ownership of ALL natural resources and means of production. NO PRIVATE OWNERSHIP OF ANYTHING. Biden doesnt come anywhere near that. Even Bernie doesnt come anywhere near that. We havent had a real socialist or communist run for decades. Doubt you can find a real one in America that is younger than 90.
