Piers Morgan predicted a Trump win in 2016 and became one of Trump's biggest UK supporters. But that was then and this is now.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...g-burning.html

He's draining support from seniors and women in particularly alarming fashion and if things get much worse, Trump could even end up being the new Walter Mondale, who was obliterated in 49 out of 50 states by Ronald Reagan in the 1984 election.

Of course, Trump was trailing badly in the polls before the 2016 election too.

Then, I felt the polls were wrong.

I was filming down in Texas and Florida at the time and could sense the Trump Train was steaming powerfully towards the White House, so repeatedly predicted a shock win.

But this feels different.
Very different

They are just trying to get out the vote. They don't want anyone getting over confident.

Piers lives in the UK talking to brits. His audience is not US voters.

Jimmy Carter is a better comparison. Sitting POTUS who got blown out by the challenger.

No but unfortunately for Trump he is no Jimmy Carter. Not easy to make a hot mess like the Carter presidency look good.

That is a very broad statement. I thought Carter was a horrible President. But give examples of how you think Trump has done a better job than Carter?

If you just look at job approval numbers both were in the low 40's in the weeks before the elections.
