My kids have been raised in the southeast. Not sure they had more liberal teachers than conservative teachers.
Sure some teachers mean to influence, but kids aren't sponges like you think they are.
My kids would be at prayer meetings three times a week if they were -- lol.
Seriously in the southeast more teachers inclined to be religious conservatives. Lovely people -- but definitely more right of right than left.
Never hurt my kids. The left teachers didn't hurt them either. The kids grew up with different view points.
We never talked politics when they were younger. We did talk morals. Not sure about being kind, compassionate and caring is a leftist slant but I'm sure someone here will make it that way.

Children are more difficult to influence because they are smart enough to see that adults don't always practice what they preach.
Everything begins at home, kids are not born racist and hateful, it all is taught to them from home. They hear everyday how their parents feel about other people, and politics. Parents are still the most influential people in their children's lives.
Exactly, and there are several stories from North and South Carolina where White teacher have said inappropriate things to their students about slavery, or inappropriate homework given to black children. They are not hard to find on Google.

Better not let the child catch wind of anything the President tweets or they will get a first rate lesson on vile, unjustified and unfiltered hate. Bet the parent wouldn't have cared if positive opinions on Biden were inhibited in the chat..

My granddaughter went to college for one year and came back spouting that I am white privilege and a racist. WTH??? Parents are paying ridiculous $$$ in tuition and the kid has no idea how to think for themselves. Before she went to college she was able to reason or at least listen to a viewpoint other than hers. Only good that may come of the coronavirus is colleges will have to get rid of highly paid administrators and liberal lecturers.

I never said that nor do I think that way, liberals don't dominate the school system where I live. But waht these teachers said was way out of line regardless of what side you are on. In these cases the school board get to decide.
