8 months before the 2016 election, the Republican controlled Senate declined to vet Garland, let alone give him a hearing.
Now less than 3 weeks to the 2020 election, the Republican controlled Senate is proceeding and there is no question Barrett will be confirmed.
It’s the abject documented hypocrisy of some Republican Senators that really stinks.
The hearing is an opportunity for grandstanding by both parties.
Barrett is solid. Ask if she prefers beef or chicken. Confirm and move on.
There is hypocrisy on the Republican side, I admit it. Would you also admit that had the democrats controlled the senate they would of done the exact same thing? Politics is a slimy business, full of hypocrisy (more on the left IMO) and double speak. Packing the court would be far more extreme than anything the republicans have done, which is confirm justices because they had the power and constitutional right to do so.
