That's a fact. Working men of the blue collar type, anyway. This is red neck as hell, but I had a shop on my property where I did welding and fabrication on the side. I also had a shooting range. The guys would come hang out to BS. While hanging out they would break out the oil stones and start sharpening their blades. Winter time we cooked deer meat on the wood burner. Corny as hell but great memories.
That sounds like a great time to me. Sounds like stuff I do a lot of. Just sit around talking crap, drinking a beer etc. Especially with a fire pit going etc.

We get a lot of free stuff from folks so constantly using rope, tarps etc, I have a trailer I haul stuff with and again need it then as well so its just a tool for me.
Strange to people that spend all of their time at the mall, sag skinny jeans, wear man buns, attend mass yoga events and try to outdo each other with vegan recipes.
I don't know why Michigan just doesn't pass a law like many states have no guns allowed with in 150 feet of a polling site. As I pointed out even red state like Georgia has this law. I don't know why any citizen would want anyone near a polling site with a gun anyway. Most of these laws were from the days of segregation where the Klan would show up with guns. Then you had the black Panthers who had guns also.
I don't see anything wrong with it at all actually, Arming teachers is a great idea, criminals are a lot less likely to attack a school if they think a teacher or teachers may be armed.
people *think* criminals are "much less likely", though as far as I know there's never been a survey of current or potential school shooters done on their mindset if they knew guns were in schools.
the reality is "school shootings" like Parklake or Sandy Hook are extremely rare and the way to stop almost all of them is a recognition of the ongoing mental health issues of those who eventually commit them.
there were 32 total in 2019. Most involved altercations among gun-wielders at sporting events. Some involved guns discharging accidentally.
Here is the thing. We have been an open carry state as long as I can remember. I'm 52 and seen , maybe 3 or 4 open carry in my life, up until the protest earlier this year. It really is a non issue, but now that the politicians have made it one, people will be all up in arms over it. It's like the Democrats go out of their way to create fear and turmoil.
Same. I'm 45 and grew up in a very rural location near Lansing - I can't ever remember seeing anyone open carry, honestly.
Open carrying at a polling location is very much asking for trouble, IMO.
I know you couldn't open carry in the polling places where I used to live. Why would you want to? You couldn't open carry in any government buildings, including schools, Post offices, courthouses, polling places or municipal buildings.
No big deal.
TRANSLATION: If the states can violate the law in govt buildings, schools, post offices, and courthouses, they should be able to violate the same law in polling places, right?
