Flashback to October 16, 2016, when NBC News eagerly reported that Hillary Clinton was up 11 points with just three weeks to go.

Conclusion: It was over.

Quote:
Clinton Holds 11-Point National Lead Over Trump: NBC/WSJ Poll

Hillary Clinton is ahead of Donald Trump by double digits with just over three weeks until Election Day, according to a new national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted entirely after the second presidential debate.

In a four-way race, Democrat Clinton holds an 11-point lead over Republican Trump among likely voters, 48 percent to 37 percent, with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 7 percent and the Green Party’s Jill Stein at 2 percent. In a two-way contest without Johnson and Stein, Clinton is ahead by 10 points, 51 percent to 41 percent.
Deja vu, anyone?

And 2 weeks later -- a week before the election the FBI announced their investigation of Clinton's e-mails.

You think that impacted anything.....

Not really. The cake was pretty much baked at that point.

No. That’s just a convenient excuse for the unelectable nature of Hillary.
People had made up their minds long before then.

Not so sure that your feelings are accurate.

Trump won three swing states with a total of 77K votes more than Hillary.

That clearly is not any 'mind made up' kind of agenda.

That's a -- HOLY @#$% he barely got a win.

And i know of many folks who were concerned because of Comey's late announcement....they were on the fence.

And the few that may have been on the fence......this would have impacted them.

That's the thing ---- the folks still on the fence with just over 4 weeks to go, they can easily be swayed by the little things. The Big things -- the differences on issues, etc. are not going to change.

Trump won the election in the electoral college, 304-227. That is a very solid margin of victory. And you would have agreed that it was a solid margin of victory, if Hillary Clinton had been on the winning side of that equation.

This is how the election winner will be determined this election also. You understand this, right?

Interesting historical fact but irrelevant to the election of a US president.
