What they had received is still experimental, right? Millions of people should receive experimental treatment?

Insurance should cover the costs involved if a covered person needs treatment.
The government, under the Cares Act, covers the uninsured - but it seems, only if a person has a primary diagnosis of Covid before they end up in the hospital. By the time they end up in the hospital the virus may not be their primary problem. Imo, congress was wrong to put that stipulation in the Cares Act, it should be covered for the uninsured as much as any insurance would cover it.

Insurance, OK. $7K out of pocket easily reached in one hour in ICU, and endless hassles with the insurance company over billing, surprise charges, non-covered items. I have medicare advantage and can't get a prescription without five followup pieces of mail before payment gets straightened out. No thanks. Wearing a mask is easier.

FWIW, I think Christie's treatment was pretty standard for a person in his condition. He would have died without it. Trump, OTH, got syntheti $100K antibodies which are not available to anyone outside of the clinical study.

If you have an MA policy no way will you have $7K in OOP spending.

With Christie asthma is less a concern than his weight, more of a risk factor. As it is turning out asthmatic patients are not seeing much in the way of higher hospitalization and death rates.

Trump's AB Rx will be 'free' for many, as Trump gave Regeneron $450M for the first 300K patients. Trump is one of 10 patients in the world to get the Rx outside of clinical studies.

A mask/distancing is simple, cheap and easy! It it is shame that so many Americans feel that it is no more than a political signal. Our Covid 19 death statistics are shameful!

Oh stop.

I know a ton of people who've had it and they're just fine.

Are the people getting infected at this moment have access to the same medicine Trump/Christie did? God I hope so. It wont be a "biggie" to them either
He has asthma which makes him high risk. It afflicts a large segment of the population, both young and old.

So far asthma has not been shown to be much of a higher risk as rationally and originally thought:

It's no biggie if you are under 65 and healthy. In fact it is 99.967% no biggie.

More lies.

My son has known 2 people who got it twice. It was the same both times. There is very little data on re-infections.

And most people have no more symptoms than a common cold. And then its gone. It hasn't been "long term" yet so that claim is a flat out lie. Could it have long term consequences? Maybe. But so far it is generally, wham, bam, thank you maam.

Its just sickening that people tell total lies about this virus to scare people.

Why is Europe undergoing a second wave now. They followed all masking rules and shutdowns and social distancing. So why a second wave? Because 85% of people who contract the virus were mask wearers. Wearing one is fine with me, but it has given people an extremely false sense of security.

Also, deaths in Europe and also in NY and other states here were escalated by malpractice of politicians who sent infected patients from hospitals into nursing homes to cause massive infection of residents. How stupid is that.

There is now a lawsuit started in Germany about the Covid fraud, fake reporting of number of deaths, fake positive test results. A document was leaked in Germany which they call "The panic plan" on how to enslave the global population, get rich with vaccine production and data collection for the technocrats. We have been controlled puppets. This virus is no more deadly than normal flu.
