Pro the right to bear arms the concerns of possible erosion of rights threatened by political force. Same thing with my privacy and rights to choice. The law was settled leave it alone.
I find it ironic that women are protesting the fifth woman in history on the world's most powerful court as a sign that women's rights are being taken away by the OrangeMan and republicans who are gladly confirming her.
Yeah, somehow the woman who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault disappeared into the woodwork, even though all women must be believed, according to the "Me Too" crowd. But then Amy Coney Barrett, a very successful and intelligent woman at the top of her field, is a threat to women everywhere because...??
It is so laughable. and no, as a woman, I am not worried in the least about any of my rights begin taken away by Republicans. I am worried about my freedoms being taken away if socialist leftists take over, which will happen if Joe Biden is elected and then shoved aside.
Speaks less about the Met Too Movement and more about the woman who accused. Her story was falling to pieces and she disappeared. Nobody pursuied it for a reason.
Not so much my rights (I have only a relative handful of years of fertility left and if by some horrific aberration I became pregnant, I have the means to hightail it to a blue state for the necessary medical procedure), but for younger and poorer women in red states, absolutely. I have a good friend who nearly died of an infection in her uterus when her water broke early. She had to have an abortion to save her life; this means that they induced the delivery of a fetus that they knew could not survive outside the womb. I like knowing that people in her situation can get the care they need and not be forced by old men to simply die due to a lack of permissible medical care.

I am worried about the deterioration of rights the left has fought so very hard for for the last 150 years.
I'm worried about the right to a safe abortion in the first trimester, or throughout the second trimester if the fetus is discovered to have severe health/survivability issues.
I'm worried about the rights gay people have fought with blood sweat and tears for, and think those may very well erode under a far right Supreme Court.

Ironic, to the say the least.
I actually find it ironic that a woman who seems to feel that women should be beholden to their husbands is even remotely in the position to be appointed to the Supreme Court. I wonder how many non-submissive women had to work like hell against various men in order for that to even be a possibility for her. Hmm.

As I recall, she had more concrete evidence than that dingbat that they put on the stand to attempt to destroy Brett Kavanaugh, but whatever.

Yes. She needs to look down and see whose shoulders she's standing on.

Yeah, a smart accuser doesn't remember where or when the attack occurred nor be able to produce any witnesses.
A story can't fall apart if it was never constructed to begin with.
The people that hijacked #metoo to mean we automatically have to believe all accusers (when we approve of whom they're accusing) hopefully feel some remorse in hindsight for believing something with no proof and then turning around and having different standards as it suits them.
