Dear Celebrities, Research Shows That Your Political Opinions Hurt Your Cause More Than Help It

It is common for Hollywood stars to share their opinions on just about every political and social issue in order to sway a multitude of voters. But surprise! Studies show that most voters care very little about what celebrities think, and astonishingly, their efforts often have the opposite effect.

In a 2019 survey by Hill-HarrisX, 65% of respondents said that political endorsements from Hollywood celebrities have no bearing on their voting decisions. Most surprising, 24% said that celebrity endorsements would make them less likely to vote for the celebrity’s preferred candidate. Only 11% said that a celebrity endorsement would make them more likely to vote for that candidate.

Yeah really. Who cares who Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Kirstie Alley and all the rest are voting? Celebrities can share their thoughts, but why would anyone vote with or against them solely because they spoke up?

Interesting you listed conservative celebrities the ones who lose work because they came out supporting Trump or Republicans from the same liberal celebrities who champion inclusion
