Lots will die anyway. 7452 people die in the USA every day. If I were an elder person, I would like to have one last Holiday with my family.

People with attitudes like yours are what is 'truly tragic'.

You apparently didn't read the article. Once again, for the slow among you, the words rules, regulations, mandates, must and require are in this regulation. But you'll see it as you wish to I guess.......

No one will enforce his silly rules: people who want to have a big family Thanksgiving indoors will do so without being fined BUT if Trump gets re-elected, Newsom will wholeheartedly endorse the post election protests and even riots and when those mass gatherings cause a spike in Covid, he will turn around and blame it on Thanksgiving gatherings and close non-essential businesses again and try to ban ANY gatherings for Christmas and New Year (going back to "only socialize with people who you live with" and celebrate virtually). I am waiting for the day that the Covid experts tell people to riot "virtually" instead of in person.

https://thefederalist.com/2020/10/20...l-regulations/

1)Bans gatherings of more than three households.
2)The state also requires hosts to write down the names of all attendees for contact tracing.
3)California is mandating that all gatherings happen outside.
4)The regulations also mandate at least six feet of distance between members of different households at all times, including when family members are sitting.*
5)Any food or beverages at outdoor gatherings must be in single-serve disposable containers.
6)Someone wearing a face covering must be there to dole out servings.
7)Gatherings should be two hours or less,†Newsom’s rules stipulate.
8)Singing and shouting is “strongly discouraged.â€
Hah. Good luck! Unenforcable. Oh well, I live in SoCal but am flying out of state to spend the holiday week with family anyway. Cali can [pee] off.

Just out of curiosity, are you a grandma or a grandpa?

Out of my husband's final seven months on earth, I got to spend two days with him.

I'm pissed.

Nope. As your home state you must still abide by California laws even when away from home. They'll be watching you.
