I used to think the exact same way, then a couple of people smarter than me pointed out that I was still holding on to the belief that I could be a little bit pregnant. One of those people helped me come to terms with the very binary concept of all this - you are either a statist or a non-statist and there is no in between except in the deluded rationalizations some statists tell themselves to avoid cognitive dissonance.
Libertarians are statists who are being more intellectually dishonest than Republicans or Democrats. I was that person. I chose to stop being intellectually dishonest.
Totally understand how it is when you still have not seen. I too had not seen for a long time. And the world is a far more pleasant place when you still have that blindness/myopia. No doubt. Once the sight occurs, sadly, there is no unseeing. That's why I cannot vote...because I cannot unsee.
