Am I missing something or have you all been duped? The scene of Borat driving to pick-up his daughter in NY was obviously filmed on the west coast. (you can easily tell by the traffic signals and even vegetation). So the timing doesn't add up for him to have arrived in NY at that exact moment, especially with a camera man already present in the room.

we know it was cohen/borat in the room. giuliani has directly confirmed it was him ( giuliani even called the cops on cohen at the time ).

The driving to get her could have been filmed two weeks before, the week after.
