Interesting polls numbers.

-45% of Chicago thinks their police are systemically racist. 57% blacks, 41% whites, and 33% of Hispanics.

It is notable that whites are significantly more likely to think that police are racists than Hispanics.


-79% of Chicago wants police to spend the same or more time in their neighborhoods, 13% want police to spend less time in their neighborhood, and 8% aren't sure. 87% of Hispanics, 79% of whites, and 77% of blacks.


-51% of Chicago opposes defunding the police and 39% supports defunding the police.

Hispanics 55% oppose and 30% support defunding police (+25% sane).

Whites 53% oppose and 40% support defunding police (+13% sane).

Blacks 46% oppose and 45% support defunding police (+1% sane).


-76% of Chicago supports BLM, 24% opposes.


-19% of Chicagoans say that they feel less safe when near a cop, 44% more safe, 33% it makes no difference, and 4% aren't sure.


-61% approve of Mayor Lightfoot's job performance, 33% disapprove, and 5% don't know. HOWEVER, only 31% approve of how she handles violent crimes and 44% approve of how she handles race relations.
