Yes, a business can refuse to do business with Democrats, as long as they can demonstrate that is actually the reason (such as gladly doing business with blacks, women, or homosexuals as long as they're wearing MAGA hats).
Someone else has to demonstrate that that is NOT the reason. Innocent until proven guilty, and all.

Umm, you do realize he is an actor, playing a role on a TV show and not a real customer, right?

In this fictitious scenario, the "manager" is in the wrong. In a real-life scenario, a manager insisting a customer remove their MAGA hat or "Impeach Trump" t-shirt is in the wrong. Abusive behavior toward customers caught on camera, is egregious.

But the real issues here are:

1) why does US media want to stir things up politically? Some people on this thread alone don't seem to understand that the "manager" and "customer" in this "story" are actors. Clearly, people get worked up, anyway.

Americans don't need to be handed any more reasons to get riled up, because too many look for them.

2) why do so many people feel the need to wear clothing with political messages in the first place, especially considering our volatile political climate? In the US, politics is now religion, and politicians are either gods or demons. These scenarios are examples of how people allow politics to permeate every facet of their lives. Even a meal at a restaurant. Mind-boggling.

I was surprised to see a long time customer wearing a MAGA hat last week in my bar. I have plenty of conservative and liberal customers so I was a bit worried what might happen. He wore his hat and nobody cared. Most people are more sane than the people here or the ones out causing trouble.

I guess that's a spectrum. You said "talking smut," which to my mind is 'way on the other end of the spectrum from someone who merely likes things of Asian culture.

Did you notice the difference in the Urban Dictionary between these definitions:

Quote:
Anglophile
Someone (more often than not American) who holds an extremely romanticized view of England and the English.

Francophile
A person obsessed with everything French. Especially wine, champagne, art, food, and the French language..

Asiaphile
The term applies to a non-Asian person particularly a white man who has yellow fever. Thinks all Asian chicks are hot, usually can't tell the difference between a homely and a cute one just as long as she is Asian.
Now, why is the definition of Asiaphile expressed so particularly more offensively and explicitly sexual than the definitions of Anglophile or Francophile?

That will be borne out--or not--by a review of their previous business practices.
