He tried not once, not twice, not three times. He tried four times to freeze spending of ALL programs, and yet he denies he EVER said he would do exactly this.
hmmm.
Biden’s website states he wants to expand SS and medicare..
From his website:
Put Social Security on a path to long-run solvency. The impending exhaustion of the Social Security Trust fund imperils American retirement as we know it. Waiting to act only jeopardizes the program further, and will make an eventual solution that much more difficult. The Biden Plan will put the program on a path to long-term solvency by asking Americans with especially high wages to pay the same taxes on those earnings that middle-class families pay.
Protect Medicare as we know it. Today, Medicare provides health insurance coverage to over 60 million older Americans and people with disabilities. As president, Biden will continue to defend our nation’s commitment to older Americans and people with disabilities through Medicare, and he will keep Medicare as a separate and distinct program, and ensure there is no disruption to the current Medicare system.
Where does the money for these programs come from?
Half from payroll taxes (employers), half from mandated individual contributions. I LOVE these programs. They're amazing... they're exactly the kind of programs nations need to achieve first world status. I'd love to see a lot more of them. The some two dozen that have a higher quality of life than the U.S. does have them. I just find it ironic (and infuriating) that Boomer Trumpsters value these, and only these, programs because they directly benefit from them. Everything else is Marxism! Tyranny! Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

I am not a Trumper, but I do lean conservative, and I don't think what you say is true. For example, I also support Workers Compensation.
The difference in the types of programs, I think is that some programs -- the ones I support -- have deductions made from paychecks, so people who benefit from them have contributed to them. (A form of insurance.)
However, wiith some programs, some people benefit from them who have never paid a dime toward them except possibly in sales tax -- and that I do have a problem with.
Also, just to be clear, I have no problem supporting those who CAN'T support themselves. It is only supporting those people who CAN work but choose not to do so that I have a problem with -- and, also, to some extent, those people who are in the U.S. illegally.

All he will need to do is lift the cap and SS will be funded for a long time.

Some of it comes from the people who are now drawing from it. But some of it also comes from the people who are paying into it and are much less likely to see the level of return that current and past recipients have seen. I don't (mostly) fault the people who are drawing from it like some of the politicians who have used it for political reasons to give one group everything they want while stiffing another group.

Biden is a liar.
These programs are self funded.
