By that, I mean do you think that your life might be directly and very negatively affected if Biden/Harris or Trump/Pence is elected to the point that you frequently worry about it and are possibly even losing sleep? And exactly what are you worried about if Biden wins or Trump is reelected?

For example, I am very worried that if Biden is elected, the economy will be in even more trouble than it is now, leading to another Great Depression. I am also worried if there is not a clear-cut winner by November because I remember what a fiasco the 2000 election was, so if the same thing happens this year, I think it will even worse -- MUCH worse. However, things like more liberal social policies being enacted do not worry me (even though I am a conservative) because I don't think those will affect me personally, as I am retired, live in a rural area, and have no kids in school. (And I think most of those happen more on a state level, anyway.)

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and opinions.

The possibility that Biden could win, however remote, has no effect on me. I am old and insular and I can simply divorce myself from the ****show that would occur if, by some miracle of democratic cheating and skullduggery, Biden actually won.

I know my taxes will go up, but besides that, the federal government is essentially meaningless to me.

No. God is in control of my life. Whether gradually or swiftly, things are going to get worse before they get better overall. So I do my best to be mentally ready.

If you mean that if Biden were elected will I take to screaming "NOOOOOOOOO", or punching children to take their Biden hat, or keying cars in woke protest...nope - not worried. I'll go about my business and do what I can within civil polite conduct to effect the changes I want.

I'm not that worried. Even if Biden wins, it won't effect me directly that much. But I worry about what it would do to my children who will soon be in the workforce. And who are conservative, one of whom is outspoken. If the Democrats win the presidency, the senate and hold the House, I think they will crash the economy. They will cause inflation. They will weaken our military. They will get in involved in "moral" conflicts overseas that don't impact US national security. They will suppress freedom of speech. They will continue the effort to deprive people of jobs who speak their mind in public. They will abandon manufacturing. They will abandon oil and gas and mining. They will quit serious border enforcement. They will free criminals and over time allow them to terrorize cities. We will become more of a fascist state than socialist as they will provide subsidies to their favorite corporations.

I want Biden to win and I'm prepared to earn a little less if this happens for the greater good of the country. If Trump wins another term, his pro rich policies will help out my and my wife's employer which may lead to higher bonuses for us. However, this will come at great cost to future of this country.

If Biden wins I will come here and take my lumps.

However, I don't discuss politics away from this board. Not with family and not with neighbors.

In any event life will go one.

I'm ready for this to be over whoever wins. I don't think it will have a great deal of impact on my personal life, and finally the tension will snap.

One thing, if Trump doesn't win this election, he can run again in 2024, so best to just hike up our skirts and wade through this sooner than later.

It's hard to run when you're in prison, but we'll see. I would love to see daily news cycles that don't include tweets from the president.
