The thought occurred to me that it has been a while since there has been a notable mass shooting. Then I remembered that nearly every setting that has been a target of a mass shooting (movie theaters, night clubs, schools, concerts, bustling workplaces, etc.) have more or less gone away due to the pandemic. It is kind of difficult to shoot up your school when everyone is at home doing distance learning. Could we be onto something here?

This is countered by five months of riots. Of course, there is no shutdown for that; our Democrat leaders city and state along with their media wing have told us that protests, rioting and looting don't spread covid.

If everyone always stays home there will be no mass shootings, few car accidents, no lighting deaths at the golf course...
I am heading for the safety of my basement now!!!

Could it be that the deranged idiots that would be a mass shooter is instead taking his misguided anger to the streets to do battle with the cops?

It is surprising that there has not been a mass shooter at a riot. He could set himself up on a roof top and shoot into the crowd.

Could it also be that the Covid, riots, Trump Derangement meltdowns and the election have seized the headlines so if there was a mass shooting it wouldn't get much national attention so the would be mass murderers realize that they won't get their 15 minutes of infamy?

We also have not heard much from the Middle East in the way of suicide bombers.

Who knows the reason but no news is good news.

Exactly, or at least a large portion of them. And yes, mass shootings have been replaced by morons rioting. At least the death toll is much smaller, still tragic though.

And surprisingly, fatal car accidents increased during the height of the shut down, although many fewer cars were on the roads. People were just driving around in a muddled fog.
