China is not the enemy that Trump and the media make them out to be.
A good relationship between the US and China (especially during COVID) would be a great thing for both countries, if not the world. US innovation with Chinese manufacturing.
That is a complete separation from reality.
China cheats on trade and its currency and has gutted US manufacturing (and middle class jobs) thanks to the work of Clinton, Biden, and Obama.
China is the biggest military threat the US faces currently and is a direct threat to our sovereignty.

sure, I guess you can say they are the biggest military threat by default since they have the second strongest military behind the US.
but you're close to being right about one thing. the fact that they threaten our hegemony and global dominance is the reason why our govt/media has declared them an enemy and a threat. them being communist also makes is very easy to sell.
our leaders thought that a non-western, non-democratic country would rise up to become a legitimate competitor and now has to knock them down a few rungs to prevent them from overtaking us.
very similar to what they did to japan in the 90's when they were about to overtake us.

besides lacking freedom of speech/press/protesting govt (which most of their citizens do not value as much as other freedoms), what human rights are being violated?
if it's so bad, why do 93% of their citizens approve of the govt?
