At our local grocery store is a sign stating that masks must be worn in the store. There is also a rather large man at the entrance to enforce the rule. In one instance, a guy is not wearing a mask and wants to enter the store. What should the procedure be? if the guy is touched in any way, that's assault. How, or do they prevent the person from entering?

Guard blocks door. The customer would have to push through the guard in order to get in, so it would be the customer assaulting the employee.

At our walmart, there's an armed off duty (I guess? uniformed, anyway) cop at the entrance. You have to wear a mask.

At the HEB, there's a teenager at the entrance, so I can guess the Walmart crowd might be a little harder to control than the HEB crowd.

I never see anyone in a store that's not wearing a mask, and rarely see people who are wearing it "nose out" style.

The day a business does not require me to wear a mask is the day I become their customer. I would drop Walmart even if I had to spend more in a heartbeat.

Target has employees standing by entrance and if someone enters without wearing a mask, they will say something to them, however if the person says they have a medical condition, the store cannot do a thing about it...basically all they can do is ask the customer to wear a mask, they CANNOT require it (legally).

Same thing at our stores, we have signs requiring a mask, but we cannot refuse service if someone is not wearing one.

All of these mask laws were put in place by state governors, this is technically why it cannot be enforced, a state governor cannot just create a new law, the state legislature is the only body that can do that.

I see it all the time in Miami/Miami Beach. We're no longer enforcing masks here, and the vast majority of people voluntarily took them off.

Well, if you're not going to wear a mask, I say thanks for staying away. Keep it up.

People go places without a mask on only because there looking for trouble , they expect to be stopped , I guess it’s boredom that makes them do it .

The way I see it: I wear a mask to protect you, not me. I hope you reciprocate, and I will wear a mask.
