Maher stressed that "neither side" was going anywhere, mocking "rich celebrities" who always threaten to leave the country but "never do" and telling those who want to divide the U.S. into red and blue states to "shut the f--- up."
Worth a listen, no matter which side you're on. Even if you hate his show, his monologues are always worth it. We could all lighten up a bit. This riff is genuinely funny, again, no matter which side you're on.

I think it is a big and brave stance for him to take. He is 100% correct.
I will give him great credit for calling out that *one side* needs to change.
If you look at history countries that fought each other for years simply hurt themselves... until someone stood up and said, no more!

Exactly! He has been vilifying Trump pretty much non-stop since he got elected ........ and if Trump is reelected he will be one of the first to resume the vilification.
So Maher's call for civility is total b-s and the height of hypocrisy.
