In a spirit of amity, I think there are two things we can all agree on. (suspect, elections)

1. We won't know the election results by midnight election night.
2. When the results are finalized, there will be tens of millions of very upset people, far outpacing any previous election in their degree of unhappiness.

We *might* know the results. If for example Texas flips....its done. We wont know for sure though I suspect until our "to be counted" votes is smaller then the vote margin.

Do you think, given the problems this time, that any state can be confident of having counted everything necessary by midnight?

14 states have extended "post marked by" deadlines of Nov 2-3, which means the ballot faking machinery will be in high gear by midnight of Nov 3/4, cranking out the ballots Harris needs to snatch the Tuesday win from Trump.
Don't take my word for it. Read Bloomberg's absurd study. They already called how it is going down. And their scientific reasoning for Harris getting like 90-95% of all late, "post marked by" ballots is because mail = Democrats and duh, everyone knows that! Seriously, that's their reasoning. Read the study.
No more glaringly obvious example of gaslighting in modern political history.

I'm confident that whatever the Texas Vote is ..... it's all counted by midnight UNLESS Harris & Travis County try to do something Shady and I don't see any way they can do that.
It's a new system and it's Statewide - the only thing that can be outstanding by the end of Election Day are any Provisional Ballots and I doubt we have many of those.
We prosecute Voter Fraud in Texas, we have a Task Force devoted to that and a good system to Identify it and resolve it. The Absentee Ballots will be counted by Nov 3. They are counting them now (not released until Election Day of course.

Actually yeah, several states will be 100% done. Some because this isnt a different election at all, we've had mail in voting for decades. Others because they have decent funding for their elections. A lot of folks on the Democrat side wanted to give states money to avoid this issue only for Republicans to reject it.
Id give it a 40% chance that we will know the president by the evening of the 4th. But im really REALLY hoping for a blowout. And if thats a Trump one or a Biden one I'd like it in order to reduce the resulting conflict.

I don't know. There are still a lot of Dems crying over the 2016 election. I do agree with you for the most part.
