Appreciating and respecting scientists in the middle of a pandemic is not deifying, he has been one of the most important assets in fighting the virus. Sounds like you do have an issue with Fauci.

I've never called him Fraudci nor called for his firing. I appreciate and respect him. I do wish he was asked 2 ?'s:
1. what happened to the tests in early February?
2. why are we testing to 35+ cycles?
A time traveler goes back to the 1950s. He tells scientists about the medical breakthroughs and amazing technology we have. All kinds of scientific achievements. The scientists are filled with awe, until they hear about a pandemic that hits on 2020.
They ask what was done bout it.
The traveler replies “nothing, we just pretended it would go away on it’s own and fired our top infectious disease expert. Ultimately half the population thinks it’s a hoax and now we have riots and confusion and now 200,000 people are dead.”
“But we’ve got Amazon prime, so we got that going for us which is nice”.
Did the time traveler also tell them about the 77 year old dementia patient who is going to save us all?
Did he also tell them about the woman who will ultimately be the President who failed to get even 1% of her party’s vote and started her career by sleeping her way to the top?
Perhaps one final story to tell them about how one party encouraged looting and rioting and burned cities across the country in order to get elected.
I’m sure they’d be so impressed by us with those stories.
This election has no relationship to 2016, but that one night is all you have left so I understand wanting to come back to it.
2016 showed that polls can't be trusted. At least we didn't yell and gripe 24/7 every single day during the Obama years. You even have people analyzing frame by frame video to see if Melania is holding his hand correctly. It gets tiring. I bet most people can't even remember what Trump was bashed for even a week ago. Remember the liberal outrage when he waved to supporters at the hospital? Yeah, most people already forgot that.

Perhaps, but I hope people in our country will be smarter than to vote for him. Our democracy will be gone if Trump is re elected. We are a free nation and should never be under authoritarian control.
