I know Biden will be that guy. He will be the nice unity guy. And that's fine. But a lot of Democrats wouldn't mind if he was less nice to some.

I'm with you. The dangerous part is it took ALL of the left's bandwidth to battle Trump. I'm not sure how much oil they have in the tank for policy development. The irony is, the right has to go back 4 years ago, when Biden was VP, to try to find something he's ever said that was the least bit uncivil.

And it was a joke, and received that way. He was praising one of their fellow soldiers, and asked them that way to clap. So it was a compliment to a soldier, in a speech praising the military.

And it was 4 years ago.

We only have to go back a day or so to quote Trump encouraging his supporters to run people off the roads.

Yes. It's the speech of the winner, telling the other winners not to be nasty to the party of the losers. This would be a completely inappropriate speech for the losers to say. They lost.

Lincoln said this at the END of the civil war, when northerners wanted to burn the traitorous southerners at the stake, and take everything they had, and seek revenge for all the pain they'd caused for years. But no, Lincoln said, with malice toward none, with charity for all.

You CERTAINLY didn't see that coming from Trump, who made it clear States wouldn't get federal aid for their disasters if they weren't republican run.

Sure we did. Look at his election night speech from 2016.

He was immediately greeted with the Democrat impeachment squad the next morning, and for the following 4 years.

Just this morning you were bashing trashy rednecks, and now you are preaching to us about unity. GMAB.

Furthermore, as I have often said, during his inauguration speech, President Trump also promised to be president for all Americans. The left had a melt down. “Most divisive speech ever” they said.

Biden is saying the exact same thing Trump said. One you criticize; one you praise. It’s ridiculous.
