I'm no fan of Bannon but what is the difference between what he said and what Kathy Griffin did several years ago when she posted the pic of Trump being decapitated? If he's banned she should have been banned too.
I agree with banning Griffin, however, the difference between them is that Griffin is well known as an outrageous comedian and Bannon is a political strategist, served in Trump's administration, and was the former executive chairman of Breitbart News. Thus he has a great deal more political and media clout than Griffin ever could.
theres a difference between humor, and incitement. However Id certainly agree that twitter should take action against her for it.

2) IDK...one persons "humor" or "bad joke" is another persons incitement. "Hey, we were only joking" is wayyy too loose of an excuse with regards to talking/joking? about killing a living person. If it were something non-lethal or a dead historical figure or a clear parody like showing a King Kong that looks like Trump falling from the Empire State Bldg then thats different imo.

#2 is why I feel like #1 should still apply. And while I understand the difference, I think much like you-its too easy to say "I was only joking" as you incite groups.

yup! both those idiots should know better. we have enough problems without this kind of thing.
Why on earth did CNN give Kathy Griffin a job in the first place? Wouldn't they want to be taken seriously and hiring Kathy Griffin flies in the face of being serious.
I honestly don't know what she was doing for them. She is a comedian, so it was probably a limited role. I don't watch CNN enough to know.
PS I remember what she was doing for CNN, - it was the ridiculous new year show with Anderson Cooper. So, basically she worked for them 5 hours per year.

Bannon has access to lethal, government sanctioned power. There is a massive difference.
