Thank you Senator. Liberalism is now officially dead for this cycle. Harris/Biden will be lame ducks, except for getting is back into Big War.

I love his voting record. I would be proud to have him as my President.

Pretty obvious considering his rather conservative record.

I just hope Rs make a good faith effort to work with Ds this time and don't go back to that absurd crap about their number 1 legislative priority being to make Biden a one term president.
The Republicans should do to the Democrats as the Democrats did to them. That would be fair wouldn't it?

Phased in medicare for all is actually the best policy for the country, basically the same type of system that all of Western Europe has, but in America that is "RADICAL". People in West Virginia would most likely benefit GREATLY from implementing that policy.

Moderate to come out against Medicare for all when your daughter is CEO of the company that increased the price of the epipen 600 percent.

That’s moderate.

If that is your standard for what is moderate then you really need to evaluate how you scale political leanings.

Manchin is a right wing crony capitalist.

I used to live in West Virginia and he's still a liberal. Maybe not as crazy as Pelosi, AOC, and Pocahontas but he still supported Obamacare and tolerated Planned Parenthood. Supporting Obamacare is a very liberal position.

I agree with the OP. Manchin is an old school democrat. He is an example of what the democrat party was. I feel there are far too few people like him in the party to ever restore it to what it was. Democrats used to be the working people and union members. Now the democrats are the party of socialist radicals and those looking for free stuff. Joe Machin harkens back to the old days of the party.....before the PC loving socialism obsessed kiddos took it over.

I am a staunch conservative but it was good for the country when the democrats were actually a positive competitor to the republicans. They kept each other on their toes. Now the democrat party is controlled by true domestic enemies like AOC or Kamala Harris.

My belief is that Manchin will announce he is changing to the Republican Party just before he’s up for re-election in 2024. Much like the WV governor did a couple years ago and like what Jeff Van Drew did last year. He will need to make this switch or he’ll be out of a job trying to keep his seat in a high turnout presidential election. Let’s not forget that Manchin voted for impeachment and voted against the confirmation of ACB.

He certainly needs to, WV is now a reliably red state.
