So what should someone like myself do? I guess you’re ok with people dying who may not have to if they had healthcare? How could that possibly be good for the economy?

The ACA is here to stay until the time comes when Single Payer or Medicare for All comes to fruition.
The American people have now been "taught" that there must always be a national health care plan of one sort or another. The ACA is here, and it is widely believed that if it were to be repealed, then another plan must takes its place. People have already forgotten that before the ACA, there was a regulated free market.
If politicians had had the courage to regulate the free market, and force insurance companies to sell insurance to all people in all places, we Americans would not be stuck with the messy, expensive system we have now.
