That doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Smarter and more educated people of all racial backgrounds tend to be more self-aware, and that can sometimes be a curse as much of a blessing.

As for non-White liberals (and I’d also include people who identify as “progressive” or simply “left”), there tends to be an under-diagnosis of mental disorders in people of color because the body of psychologists and psychological studies are still overwhelmingly White, and many common DSM-V disorders like anxiety and depression can manifest in different ways, depending on culture.
