So many of todays "deplorables" were life long blue collar union democrats like my uncles.
By off-shoring the good paying jobs and on-shoring cheap illegal labor those factories and plants closed.
Some of them in frustration voted Republican for which they were accused of being racist, they were told that "they should have gotten an education" and THAT is how someone like Trump got elected...frustration.
So here were are again with yet another thread mocking blue collar workers and other "stupid people" and you can't figure out why that despite Trump being awful the Republicans did well everywhere else.
P.S. Dirty Pirate, if all these stupid people bother you so much, you need to learn some humility.
As a companion thread to this , I wanted to see what the response would be to the opposite end of the spectrum.
While Biden has shown an ability to elevate himself above a lot of the fray, a lot of Democrats could not do the same. Democrats showed weakness in connecting with working class voters especially more white and rural voters.
Moderates and Progressives are at each others throats in the senate and house over who is to "blame" in terms of messaging.
Moderates such as Conor Lamb of Pittsburgh, who did win reelection, says the progressive wing's messaging was a net-drag in more purple and moderate districts.
Progressives such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the Bronx, who also won reelection, say that the moderates mirrored their Republican counter parts to closely and didn't appeal to the more left part of the party leading to a lot of defeats.
So which is it? What's the best strategy to win two seats in GA?
So college is a big thing for you ? Does it make you feel superior to others ? Just curious. And yes, it would seem that a lot of Trump supporters might not have degrees. Does that automatically make them dumb ? Are we to become the Morlocks ?
Of all the people I know, close friends, family and acquaintances, I'd say maybe 25% of them have degrees. Here is a break down of my group of people.
2 own liquor stores
1 owns a marina
1 owns a tow boat business
2 own automotive repair shops
1 owns a masonry company
1 owns a process serving company
2 own landscaping companies
1 owns an electrical contracting company
1 owns a wealth management company
1 owns an IT company
The rest of my friends are tradespeople, nurses, a doctor, automotive painter, machinists , designers, engineers, sales, mechanic, two former police chiefs, EMT, a couple of cops and management.
Every one of these individuals is doing well, with the exception of one, a degreed automotive designer lost his job. The business owners, which, only one or two have degrees are doing exceptionally well. And out of all these people, roughly 85-90 people, with the exception of 4 or 5, voted for Trump.
You might want your degree, so you can talk down your nose at others, I'd rather be successful.
Lol Jfc quit the whining. You all know there isn’t anything incorrect about what I said. Sorry I wasn’t more politically correct in my naming of the thread. If anything it’s proving the “temporarily embarrassed millionaire” thing true. I could care less if your cousins third wife’s uncle owns a liquor store.
I wanted to know what people thought about the democrats expanding their base.
It appears that the communists have a plan for their "Truth and reconciliation" tribunals to deal with the "uneducated" as you call them (us)
Step 1. Hold a kangaroo court
Step 2. Banish the worthy (the young enough to do slave labor) to a re education camp.
Step 3. Those not worthy (the elderly, and otherwise infirmed) will be summarily executed as their crimes will be deemed to great for continued existence in the new Utopia.
Step 4. Fast forward about 70 years when the people wake up and destroy their slave masters again.
History (the real history, that the truly uneducated, are missing) bears this out.

Today's so-called "educated" graduates are mostly socialist liberals. That's not education. That's brainwashing and indoctrination. It was not like this when I was enrolled at St. Johns University in the 90's.
