Make critical statements, sure. What is YOUR strategy for countering/managing an ascendant nuclear superpower? China is an administration or two away from having its own processor/chip IP (and all electronic manufacturing and assembly) - it's not going to need our stuff much longer. It's leading the world in 5G IP. Their economy is becoming less dependent on ours every year, and we are progressively dependent on theirs.
I'm not talking about countering/managing an emerging super power. I'm interested to see if he will do the right thing and be critical of this crime.
Seems you think he will. I am not so optimistic, but I hope you are right. The world needs the US to be a leader on this front.

Define "the right thing" in terms of US foreign policy.
i.e. The Saudis murder/dismember a journalist but the US goes radio silent, seems buying Billion$ from the MIC buys a lot of silence. Is that the "right thing"?
WHAT is the "right thing" based on? Morality? Humanity? $$$?
History suggests the "right thing" is defined on a very flexible scale.

As I said, be critical of this crime. Condemning it in an unequivocal fashion is an important first step.
No, its a very serious thread. China is the most serious global problem for a range or reasons.
I would hope that he starts with denouncing this crime. Where do you think he should start?
Australia is far more dependant and at risk from action from China, but have been very critical of them and this behaviour. In fact Australia was chastised by the communists already today about this.
Knowing where Joe stands would be a great start.
Interesting that you think war is the only meaningful option.
China is a serious global problem because they`re beating us at Capitalism? Joe`s priority right now is the Covid 19 which is taking a 9-11 type death toll every 3 days. We should follow Australia`s lead in dealing with the virus and forget about China for now.

Australia managed to walk and chew gum at the same time. Surely this crime can be denounced and covid policies be implemented. Do you actually think Joe is going to be sitting at some command centre working on Covid?
He's not on the government payroll like Ivanka who got exclusive patents from China thanks to daddy's help...
Joe is though right? Remember the standard cut to the big guy is 10%.
